Company Profile

The Mission of Emergency Vehicle Operational Strategies (EVOS) Inc. is to provide thorough and applicable emergency vehicle driver training to all current and prospective employees in the emergency services sector, and to eliminate risk exposure for communities in New England.

Background:

Following a 26-year career as a Firefighter/EMT, Ken Jones founded E.V.O.S in 2006 in response to an increasing number of Emergency Vehicle crashes, and the absence of professional training (initial and refresher)for emergency vehicle operators. Ken provides this service throughout New England. Ken believes that being pro-active is essential to avoiding unnecessary risk.

EVOS employs only active and retired firefighters for class and on-site instruction. In all cases, Ken is on location or personally teaching, delivering his knowledge and extensive on-the-job experience directly to your personnel for your entire fleet of emergency vehicles.

Certifications:

Ken Jones has held a commercial drivers license (CDL) for 38 years. He is also a certified Driving Instructor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He holds a certification for instruction from both the National Safety Council and the MA Safety Council. In addition he is a member of NFPA, and has attended liability and insurance programs at the Traffic Safety Institute. He serves as the loss control driver training instructor for MIIA Insurance Company, as they seek to help municipalities reduce risk exposure. He is also a member of the FDSOA.
