Emergency Vehicle Driver Training

In a ‘typical’ community, EVOS emergency vehicle training takes from one to three weeks, depending upon the size of the department and number of employees. Ken Jones creates a customized program that is designed for the emergency response training needs of your community.

Initially, as a point of orientation, Ken will do an on-site ‘audit’ of emergency-response activities in your community, including: an audit of all equipment, crash history of the department, and an assessment of your current training programs.

In all cases, E.V.O.S delivers a training program consisting of classroom and hands-on-emergency vehicle driver training.

All emergency response personnel will be pre-tested to ascertain their knowledge and attitudes toward safe emergency vehicle driving and the risks, laws and liabilities associated with the operation of these specialty vehicles. E.V.O.S will design classroom material based on pre-test results.

For the driving portion of the training, E.V.O.S uses your department vehicles to assure maximum command of and familiarity with each piece of your equipment.

Just prior to completion of the course, all emergency response personnel will be administered a post-test, to assure comprehension of course material.

Upon course completion, personnel receive a certificate of completion from EVOS indicating that they completed a safety-training program in emergency vehicle operations.

The completion of this course may lead to lower insurance rates for towns and individuals.
